Today, i continued to explore shape and pattern using different textures and fabrics.
Here are some samples I think have worked well.

I started by experimenting with paper and fabric by sewing round the edges of shapes. I really like this effect and from this I thought about trying to use different layers of fabric. So, I sewed a triangle, with a simple stitch, on two layers of fabric. Then, I cut out the top layer of fabric and was really pleased how it worked, so i tried it out with lots of different colours and shapes.

Here I have recycled old fabric and used a coral coloured cotton under the top layer of fabric. I really like this sample, as I think the colours work well and I like the detail of the buttons.
